While this is not a political blog, I simply could not resist this video clip because sometimes a rose is just a rose…

I don't understand why they would send ornaments from past Christmases to be re decorated by kids… wouldn't that 'ruin ' the original work? why not just ask the kids to make ornaments? Or am I misunderstanding something? lol
This is a joke, right?
Yes Chrissy it is a joke. The ornaments sent out were blank and just colorful so no historic value or anything like that. The video makes the point that given the millions spent on God knows what that decorating ornaments was considered expensive and being used for indoctrination. Out of the mouths of babes, the kids were making the point that this was crazy!
More kids should be in government!. Their outspokenness is what is missing…lol.. When I saw the video I have to admit it was early here so my brain wasn't exactly working…I wonder if this was a slam against some of the schools that were supposedly teaching kids songs w/the insertion of Obama's name…I've not heard of that happening where I live and never figured those stories were true.
Chrissy,
Slam or not, everything is NOT politics. Some of the decorations the kids did were lovely and most did not have the President's name or image on them. It was a nice gesture to involve the children of America in decorating the National Christmas Tree, nothing more…
Sorry, Cherry, my level English is very low still, and I didn't understand the video. But, thanks for share it 🙂 A kiss
That is OK Ana, it is an American type joke anyway. It is satire which has a lot of metaphors that probably only Americans would understand.
Oh yes my name when pronounced sounds like Cherie, sort of like the wine and not the fruit.
Ha ha ha, sorry, Cherrie, I usually write very bad English when I'm alone, but, when I am with my two nephews, like that day, I don't know what I write. It's too noise here, ha ha.
I hope that you aren't ungry with me. A kiss.
Ana,
No, no, not angry at all. A lot of people make that mistake. In fact, I'm certain other people have done the same and now your post has helped to clear up the matter. So smile, you have cut a trail for others.
What a great thing to do, both incorporating children and spreading holiday warmth.. such a small idea can be very effective.
As to the remarks of Obama and his "Socialism"– I say so be it! I'd rather be a socialist than a broken capitalist.
Happy Holidays on that note :]
Keith,
My point in posting the video was that President Obama needs to be held to account for his policies and actions, but when ridiculous ideas like this are floated it makes people less willing to listen when you come up with something legitimate. We all know what happened to the boy who cried wolf one time too many!
