Alex has turned from mild mannered software developer into Alex the trail blazer, packing every gadget you could imagine for the trip. I watch in amazement as the pile grows because some of the stuff I would never think of but we actually could need. Right now he is charging a battery that will both reinflate the tires or jump the Tahoe if needed.

Secretly though, I think Alex is dying to try out his new camera. His present to himself this Christmas was an expensive telephoto lens, and he is determined to use it. Me, I’m just happy for a new adventure. I love travel and the challenge of a new space to see and photograph.
