Feel good happenings are not plentiful of late, what with the financial crisis and the constant drumbeat of layoffs in the news; so when you encounter an uplifting event you really take notice.

Last weekend Alex and I went for dinner in San Marco and then decided to just walk around to view the sights and Christmas decorations recently put up in San Marco Plaza.

As we walked along we could see the little rotunda in the distance. It was a wonderful sight…

To our delight there were three brave young women who had just started playing music near the front. The music they were playing sounded like an Irish jig and it was the most inviting sound you could ever imagine following a very nice meal and a glass of wine.

I luckily had my camera and took pictures and a video clip of the event. The music was more than fun as most Irish jigs are, so much so that while taking one of the clips Alex got a little carried away as you can tell from the camera starting to jump to the beat of the jig.
The performance is not perfect but very definitely fun and deserving of my salute to the young women who braved the night and made our evening…
Here is the link to enjoy the jig:

And there you have it… your feel good moment for the day!
